Governor Anies Baswedan Ensures the Groundbreaking of Sunter's ITF As Soon As Realized

JurnalUpdate. DKI Jakarta GOVERNOR Anies Baswedan promised to immediately conduct a groundbreaking Intermediate Treatment Facility (ITF) in Sunter, North Jakarta.

"God willing, if there is no obstacle for us to get groundbreaking as soon as possible and all preparations have just been carried out," Anies said at Monas on Wednesday.
This facility is built on a land area of around 3.05 hectares and is capable of accommodating up to 2,200 tons of 7,000 tons of DKI Jakarta waste per day.

In addition, the ITF is also expected to be able to anticipate the possibility of landfill dumping in DKI and be able to reduce waste disposed to Bekasi's Bantargebang.
The construction which is targeted to be completed in two years can generate electricity at 35 megawatts.

It is known that the Sunter ITF will be built by PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) in collaboration with public companies headquartered in Finland, Fortum Power and Heat Oy.
